lesthegrngo Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 All, I'm looking into the switch polling as a separate issue, but one thing that struck me was that I don't know the switch position configuration that should be set prior to starting a 'flight', for example when you go to instant action > cold and dark. Is there a list that shows what positions the switches (or at least the important ones) should be in for the various start configurations? I can start DCS and go through and log each switch position manually without connecting my hardware but I'm hoping that this is already done to save me a boring hour or so! Cheers Les
lesthegrngo Posted October 29, 2023 Author Posted October 29, 2023 Nothing? OK, I'll be back after a couple of boring hours! Not sure the best way to list it though, so will get the switch positions first then work out the best way Les
Vinc_Vega Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) Normally, all main switches are set to OFF to make an aircraft safe for maintenance after the last flight. So that no electricity is applied to most "black boxes" after the main battery is re-connected. (cold and dark cockpit) Dials (like thumb wheels) usually are not reset after flight and may remain in the last positions. I'm afraid you have to go at least once through the startup procedure to find all that switches for your own configuration. You should start by using the checklists from the manual.
