F1BE rear cockpit controls issue

Hi, had first flight as a rear seater today and had some issues with controls which although properly bound, did not work. For example, canopy lock open / close and canopy open toggle. These work fine via the mapped buttons on my sim pit and HOTAS from the front seat, but not in the rear. Same with the various controls for the nose wheel steering. There may be others, I did not test exhaustively

All of these work fine if you mouse them. 

Why is this?
