I keep DCS 1.5.8 installed in addition to the current version. I use it for flying the Hawk, for flying campaigns that have since got bugged by updates and for the great VR performance - plus I like how Caucasus looked then, compared to how it is in VR now.

I just reinstalled Windows after upgrading to better hardware but am finding that my DLC campaigns are missing - and when I select them in the module manager, I get a CTD.

I've kept the 1.5.8 install since 2.5 - I have it backed up externally and after each upgrade or reinstall of windows, I've simply copied across the main directory and vital bits of the User folders (missions, input, views) and it's been fine. Now my DLC campaigns are gone - previously I had all but two campaigns installed for this version, so I really don't know how this happened.

I'm guessing ED aren't 'supporting' that version, which would probably in their speak mean being unable to download anything from it, but that's just a guess. This is probably why my sim is CTD when it tries (though why does it offer to do so in the first place, then?).

Anyone know for sure?
