After designating a ground target with the helmet display, the target is lost when my HMD looks through the HUD. I used to be able to designate a ground target, look all around and it would still be designated. Now it seems I must sensor control switch it to the FLIR for it to remain designated before looking forward thru the HUD. I never had to do that before. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Just tested and it worked fine for me.  More details would be helpful and more importantly PLEASE POST A TRACK (that way anyone trying to help isn't guessing wildly what the problem is).  If you have any mods installed, try uninstalling them as a bunch needed update after the last big patch or they cause random seemingly unrelated issues.

Hmmm ... I can see what you're seeing on the track, but as soon as I take over it's normal.  My best thought is that maybe you have a double binding issue or you're accidentally hitting another button (or getting bad input).  It looks like it is redesignating to a target in front of you (or at the very end like you're going into VVSLV mode with the ATFLIR).  Try unbinding your NWS button in case it's giving you extra presses you're not doing (double tap on it would VVSLV you).

Also worth running a repair just on general principles in case something's gotten messed up.

Roger that. it seems only to happen the moment the helmet display is superimposed with the HUD. I'll try a repair first and let you know. I did check for binding conflicts but will check again.

I did a full clean and repair still no change. It seems if NWS is not disengaged before taking off this happens. I tried it several times from a hot start on ground. I have never disabled nose wheel steering before. Seems odd to me why this would now be the case. Can you reproduce it. I tried unbinding the Steering as well same prob.

Only other think I can suggest is RENAMING your Saved Games folder and see if your bindings file is messed up somehow (don't delete it in case it doesn't solve your problem you change name back).

Not sure what happened but it looks like my save game folder must have become corrupted. Seem to work ok now. Sucks though. Major pain to reset everything. Oh,well. Thanks a bunch.

I would try moving things back one by one and see what caused the issue.  At least that way you won't lose everything.

Glad you got it sorted though.

I have the same problem, i tried with a fresh saved game files and still have the problem, the designated point on the ground is very shaky when i look at it, pretty sure it was not that shaky before.

I play on VR and on the A-10 the designated point on the ground is very stable.
