TheXerxes Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Hello, I'd like to suggest an improvement for both DCS stable and openbeta versions. When a client attempts to connect to a server with a different DCS version, they should receive a specific error message indicating a version mismatch, rather than the current 'server offline' message, which can be misleading. Additionally, it would be helpful if there was a guide for users. For instance, if someone using the stable version of DCS tries to join a server running the openbeta version, there should be instructions on how to switch their version to openbeta to facilitate connection. Best regards, Xerxes 1
-Cipher- Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 I agree. I remember spending almost half an hour to try fix a friend's network issue while all he had to do was updating his game. I think a message "Client version mismatch" or something like that would do it 1 CPU :Intel® Core i5-13600KF | GPU :ASUS RTX 4070 Super OC |RAM : Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32 GB | SSD 500GB & 1TB Samsung | Flight gear : T.16000 FCS Flight Pack | MB : ASUS Z790P Wish-list : F-117 Nighthawk | F-14D Super Tomcat | F-111 Aardvark | P-38M Lightning
