bpremus Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 DCS F-14 Speed & Angels campaign is finally over, and I feel proud and a bit sad that its over. Took me a month and probably replayed every mission 2-3 times (except last), in some cases i had issues with mission triggers on my machine, while some missions i felt like i could do better. Started playing this just after fear the bones and zone 5, so I had been sitting in tomcat for quite some time now, and was even familiar around Nellis AFB. First mission was straight forward, I answered question correctly and did what was expected of me, carrier break, on speed landing, taxi... just to get a reality check with "below average" score and a big list of things i did wrong. Sad part was that I knew and ignored half of those as "its a game" and like Paco is not going to care... So from that moment it was time to cover my ears, listen and do it right. I was learning and giving my best in every mission, completing part one with 3.62 Second part was fun, I wish DCS AI was a bit more cooperative but was working good enough for me to complete the campaign. I knew how to fly F14 but this campaign thought me how to fly it right, and I highly recommend it. Good voice acting and scripting, overall great job. I would love to see a quick mission variant of Case 1 mission not just for Tomcat with life like voices and complex scoring and log on landing, something that i can fly daily as part of my training. 1 1 AMD FX 8350 4.0Ghz, 16gb DDR3, MSI R9 390, MS FF2 & CH Throttle PRO, track IR 4 & Lenovo Explorer VMR
