Zorg_DK Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 ....Because I have dynamic IP adress on my connection. So, Is a static IP necessary to start a server in Black Shark? "There are only 10 types of people in the world — those who understand binary, and those who don't." [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Airway Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 No, it's not needed. The party who wants to join your server just needs your IP, no matter if dynamic or static. IP won't change while you're online. Changes only when restart router or your modem.
EtherealN Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 And if you do not know what your external IP is, http://www.whatismyip.com is a nice helpful site. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
