Maddaawg Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 So I was following a guide on YT to setup the Q3 since I had only used the Reverb G2 previously. Clean install and following the instructions in the guide I would crash at a PD of 1.2 where the uploader with the same GPU was fine at 1.3. Even lowering all my settings to low and 72hz in the Q3 it would still crash. Raising much of the settings back up higher setting DLSS either to performance or quality, textures to high, clouds to high, anisotropic to 16x it ran pretty good at a PD of 1.1. But put that to 1.2 and crash. This seems to be a hard limit for me. My specs are I9-10900k, 64GB at 3200, and a 3080ti. The uploaders system has a better AMD and memory, so maybe that's why? I've also read to leave it a 1.0 which is the native resolution. I think its fine at 1.1, I'm more curious than needing to increase it. Use oculus tray tool or oculus debug tool to increase the supersampling to 1.3 instead. See if that works. See if that works. I gave that a shot and it still crashes. Even setting 1.1 PD in oculus tray caused it to crash at the opening screen to quick start flight. I'll leave it alone, I'm satisfied with the rest of my settings for now but I don't think a free flight is going to stress it so I may have to reduce somethings later. 1 Meta Quest 3, AMD 9800x3D, EVGA 3080Ti FTW3, Corsair 2x32GB DDR5 6000, ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M2 NVME Windows 11 Drive, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB M2 NVME Game Drive
