QR4Rigs Extension

I’ve been looking at some of the longer goose neck extensions from qr4rigs for my Orion 2 base with F16 stick because I think that sort of extension would work out pretty well for my setup. I wonder if anyone can tell me if the use of such an extension would cause any excessive wear or otherwise potentially damage my hardware?
