Screen auto-off disrupts gameplay

For a number of times, during gameplay, my screen automatically goes to "standby" mode. When it does that, DCS gets stuck, and I'm unable to Alt-Tab to Vista.

I know how to configure my auto standby, but I don't want to turn it off completely, or having to re-enable it every night.

Is there a solution for my problem?
