Yskonyn Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I've noticed that after you uncage the Shkval again after first locking a target the cursor sometime seems to walk to a side by its own. At least seemingly on its own because I do not operate the slew controls at that time. If I then reset the Shkval then uncage again to designate a new target it does remain fixed on the target again. I was wondering why the system does this? Does the Shkval try to reset to neutral after uncaging when you've just locked a target moments before uncaging, for example? Sharkster64 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) Actually that is a built in feature. If you press it once, it stops the cursor in that spot. If you hit it again, it switches to scan mode and it scans side to side. Of course, hitting it a third time will stop the cursor again. You can adjust the scan speed with the knob on the right console. This way you don't have to manually move the shkval back and forth to scan the area ahead. ;) Edited April 11, 2009 by Sharkster64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Call Sign: Warhammer
Yskonyn Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 I am a real dumbass. . . Why would there else be a Shkval scan rate knob. Sharkster64 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Thats no problem, that is what forums are for. Of course you will get the occasional rude person that will tell you to RTFM, because they are either too lazy or too cranky to offer a hand. But fortunately there is always someone out there willing to help. Glad I could help. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Call Sign: Warhammer
