EtherealN Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I have a slightly weird problem, and I just now updated my drivers to 182.5 to see if that fixed it. It didn't. Basically, the buttons for the autopilot channels flicker when on, depending on where they are in my view. If they are really close to the edge of the screen, the lighting is nice and solid and proper, when they move slightly centreward they start to flicker, and as soon as they are in any kind of distance from the edge the lighting is just gone. It's almost as if the lightmap gets moved below the texture of the button when it gets in to the centre. It is unaffected by zoom level, so if I zoom far back it will occur closer to the centre of the screen. This does not affect any other buttons, but it does make it kind of awkward to verify that the channels are still active - f.ex if I have taken battle damage and the chopper is acting up. It's also outright ugly. It happens on both default textures and TangoRomeo's beta textures. It happens with and without nHancer. (That was my first suspect.) System specs in my sig. If anyone has run into this and found a fix, I'll love you long time. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
EtherealN Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 Failure cascade on my part, I was being an amateur in my testing. Fixed the issue to being caused by having Multisampling through nHancer at 8x or higher.
