LePaul Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 Hello, Intel i9 64gb RTX 4090 rig (Alienware R15) that's really having no issues running DCS World. One anomaly myself and others I fly with have noted is sometimes we get some random cut outs, for a brief second or two. It doesn't affect our Discord conversations and I can't seem to spot in the task manager or the FPS details any blips when this happens. Meaning, I don't see this being a performance lag/pause from the cpu or gpu. It'll happen for a brief second or two - fine - a few minutes later it may happen a couple times. I know this report sounds more like a bigfoot or ufo sighting - not much data or proof! But my squaddies suggested I post it here. I mentioned it on a Facebook post a while back and a few others chimed it, noting they experience it too and can't seem to nail down the source. So - I thought I would mention it here. Again, it only seems to affect the background engine noise for me. In the F-16 and the A-10A.

In my case the complete sound is affected: engine, comms, etc. Everything else runs fine meanwhile. My system is quite powerful - 9800X3D, RX 7900 XT and 64 GB - so that should not be an issue.
LePaul Posted Tuesday at 05:26 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 05:26 PM For what it is worth, I installed Process Lasso and that seemed to really help with this issue. Granted my system is an Intel i9 so I am not sure how much it would do for that AMD processor (which I wish i had gone with!) Here's the link https://bitsum.com/ I think Spudknocker did a YouTube tutorial on how to set it up.
