Multiple User Aircraft for a Single Player Mission?

Curious what the thoughts are in placing multiple options of aircraft to play through a single mission? 

I have a couple of missions posted under User Files, each of which the player can choose from where different aircraft (F-18, AH-64, etc.) are doing different things across the map that have some general tie in to each other. I see some other missions like this, but wanted to know if maybe it was more efficient to focus on a single aircraft at a time.

If they all fit in a given theme then that is a good added touch. I make lots of missions form myself and do just that.
