8 Minuets to start the game/Back to Desktop / Program Not Responding

AMD 64x2 Dual Core 4200+

4 Gigs ram

GT8800 Geforce (drivers just updated today)

Windows Vista 32 Home

 

It takes the game about 8 minuets to start, everytime the loading process changes to a new screen I get tossed out to the desktop and the program is not responding for about 2 minuets.

 

1. clicking the shortcut immedieatly brings me to the game menu

 

2. clicking start, instant action, training ect immediately tosses me out to the desktop, and the program is not responding for 2 minuets.

 

3. After 2 minuets the pilot walking screen comes up for a few seconds then dissapears, the program is not responding for 2 -3 minuets.

 

4.The laoding bar screen comes up and loads up to "Please wait", then tosses me out to the desktop for another 2-3 minuets.

 

5. Then the game icon appears on the bottom tool bar and I can click on it to get to the pause break screen.

 

Once I am in the game everything runs great at high settings on everything. but if I crash or have to resart the mission I go through the whole 7 minuet start up ordeal again.

Thanks, I treid reinstalling and defragging and upgrading the Video drivers so far and am looking through those threads. I see lots of suggetions but so far no reported successful fixes.
