I've been away from playing for about 2 months.  I got the latest update and jumped back in.  I'm getting solid framerates, hitting 72fps.  Yet every 5-15s or so, the frame rate window will show a red CPU BOUND message and my image freezes for 1/10 - 1/3 a sec.

I've been playing vr for a couple years now (frist on a Q2 , now on a QPro), and have spent a lot of time learning the tips on how to optimize.  I'm using openxr- w/ turbo, the OTT toolkit w/ fov multipler reduced to .7, and I'm using the eye-tracking fov rendering mbuccia setup for us, using the bin-mt\dcs.exe.  Power management off/max performance, memory integrity off. I'm not sure what could be causing this.

What could be going on here?

Thanks!

Setup:

Razer Blade 14 i9-12900 32GB, RTX 3080Ti 32GB, Quest Pro

Ok, I increased my pagefile size dramatically, hoped, prayed, got lucky, i dunno.. issue resolved itself.  maybe my pc was doing something in the background (though I thought I had been looking at that).. anyway.. something that I"m a bit suprised about is I"m getting a steady 72fps now with pretty damn high settings (especially shadows, I love shadows!!).  and not asw 72 (which comes up as 36 fps in the dcs framerate window anyway).  Very pleased! 🙂

Just saw this reply:

You increate the pagefile size by viewing the "advanced system settings", select the settings for Performance, go to that dialog's Advanced tab, and set the size of the Virtual memory (aka paging file)  I have mine set to 82MB.  Also there's plenty of other discussions about pagefiles in this forum that can give you more info if you'd like.
