[No Bug] Cycling Weapon Selector from TV to Bombs resets the AGM-65 warmup

Not sure if this is intentional or a bug, but I noticed today that if you cycle the Weapon Selector from TV to Bombs after warming up your Mavericks, then back to TV, you have to wait a full 3 minutes for the Mavericks to be ready to fire again. This is also true with the AIM-7 and the Continuous Wave switch, but those warm up much faster than the Mavericks.
