I just can't get weapons on target either using the crew chief or rearm window to change laser code to match JTAC. Are there any guides to how to deploy LGB without the targeting pod?

At the moment, you have to set the laser code using the crew chief menu.
Make sure to not forget to arm your bombs using the Fuze Switch. The laser sensor on these bombs afaik requires the nose to be fuzed.
Have a buddy (or the TGP lase the target) and drop the bombs with any of the modes. Make sure that the bombs led ballistically hit the target roughly as well, or they won't see the laser. That means you should plan your attack properly with the Bombing Calculator tool and fly the planed profile. For example Laydown, DT with a shallow angle or Direct based on mils in this case.
