Smasher Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I have purchased Lock On and Flaming Cliffs. I have the CD version of Lock On and I downloaded Flaming Cliffs from the website. I recently had to replace my computer and the Key that I had bought to activate the game on my previous computer will not work to activate the game on my new computer. I need to know what I have to do to short of buying another Key to get it fixed. Smasher Posted April 29, 2009 Author Posted April 29, 2009 I'm not so happy with the Customer support I've been receiving from the command team here thus far. All I get is an e-mail asking me why I used them up in a month. I used them up in a month because your Costumer Support sucks and I have to rely on players for help. And after getting frustrated I just want to get it done, not wait hours on end for an answer from ED. Just fix my Keys so I can play the game I payed for twice! Smasher Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 It has been 11 hours since I've herd from anyone regarding this problem. Do not buy this game, or any future games by this developer they will not help you in a timely manor. There is no number to call, or even a e-mail address that gives prompt response. Smasher Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 12:08 AM Here is the display of the correspondence: I have purchased Lock On and Flaming Cliffs. I have the CD version of Lock On and I downloaded Flaming Cliffs from the website. I recently had to replace my computer and the Key that I had... The login account used to purchase the key is (******) Please help me as soon as possible! 1:16 AM Encase you needed this information as well: The e-mail address i used to use was ****** The Hardware code is ****** The old activation code is ****** And again my user name is ****** This is the response 5:50 AM Hello, I've checked both of your serial numbers and found that you've managed to spent 9 activations in a month! Could you please explain what were the reasons. My response 11:26 AM Honestly, I'm not exactly sure how that could be, I believe that was some months ago. I know that before I had to replace my computer I was having some issues with getting Flaming Cliffs to authenticate properly and I think I remember uninstalling and reinstalling the game a few times. I also think that I was having some problems with it working with hyperlobby which might have caused me it uninstall and reinstall the game a few more times. I tried to activate it a bunch of times while trying to get it to work. V/R Jon T. Hoyt Me again 7:22 PM It's nice to know that you are taking your sweet time to get back to me! Your customer service is horrible! EtherealN Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Dude, you got a response in a few hours, but is bitching that there was no prompt response to your third mail? Considered the fact that there's this thing called "timezones"? I also know for a fact that ED are usually very nice about things like this and I know people that have had similar issues that were promptly helped - it's just that it sometimes takes a few days to get everything done when you're working across timezones, and going attitude on them (no matter how justified you think it is) isn't going to help you get priority, is it? Just chill, be nice, and have a bit of patience. There is a point to why they would be curious about someone spending 9 activations in a month - that's what it would look like when people "share" a key, which is an EULA violation. For the system to have a point at all they need to ask about that. Furthermore (a bit late now, I know, but if you get your key refilled it might be good to know) they do have a registry save tool you can get from their site which will cover you in case you need to reinstall.
