Gunslinger52 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Hi all, Creality don't seem to be able to supply fuctioning firmware, but read a post that says you jyst need to change a word from true to false in the Marlin firmware. My old FW worked, but not any new versions (that also support the CR Touch I have just installed). Does anyone know what PC software you need for this? I'm getting lost trying to understand it all (new to 3D printing). Thanks for any help you can offer. '52 i7-11700F 64GB RAM RTX3060 WIN 11 Pro HP Reverb G2 Meta Quest 3 TM Cougar & Logitech X56
mkel2010 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 From this Reddit post on the same subject: SOLUTION: just reverse the cablepositions on the extruder-plug. On my 5 pro they are marked with different symbols on the cables. change from 1234 to 4321 (thx u/vent666). Dont try to push the little metall pins in the contact-points on the cables down to extract them from the plug, but lift the little white pins on the plugs just a little bit and pull the cables out then. If it is a firmware issue as some in that post suggest, the alternative would be to get a Sonic Pad and switch to Klipper firmware.
Gunslinger52 Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 Thanks for that, will swap the wires over if I can't get a working FW. Creality Support have actually gotten back to me, asking for a video showing the iddue Will see what they do with it. 1 i7-11700F 64GB RAM RTX3060 WIN 11 Pro HP Reverb G2 Meta Quest 3 TM Cougar & Logitech X56
