How to play DCS MT on Valve Index ?

Hi,

pretty much the title.
What I tried:

Press play in steam, select "launch MT preview in VR".  Result: Launches pancake mode.

Create shortcut to MT .exe and put "--force_enable_VR" at the end of the target line. Result: Launches the ST version in VR mode.

Start DCS MT in pancake mode, go to settings and enable VR. Result: Game restarts into ST version.

Any help appreciated.

I start VR before pressing "Play" DCS in Steam, and wait, until my VR home has launched and I know that my headset (a Vive Pro 2) has connected.

Then (and only then) I launch DCS from Steam by pressing the green 'Play' button (by mouse, I do not use controllers) and choosing using "MT preview in Steam VR"

That works well for me.
