dutchdan Posted July 3, 2024 Posted July 3, 2024 (edited) Hi, Since the F4E came out I have been reading up on the Yom Kippur War during which one of the tasks for the F4 was to target and destroy the Egyptian pontoon bridges across the canal. I looked for a mod but did not find one so decided to try myself and this is the result, nothing fancy but it has a damage model to show which parts are destroyed. Also you can place some vehicles on top ( I think only the amphibious ones). Link to the user files section for download and instructions. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3339285/ Thanks to T-PAP for his Crimea Bridge Mod as I studied this as an example. Enjoy! Edited July 3, 2024 by dutchdan add tags 4 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5, RTX3090, NVMe. (Main - VR with RIFT S) i7 4930K @ 4.5MHz, 64GB DDR3, RTX2070, SSD's. okopanja Posted July 3, 2024 Posted July 3, 2024 null Both sides were elevated by bringing sand and other material. Essentially prior to the war they both raced to get a higher position, with Israel at the end building fortified concrete which at the end mend that their side was 2m lower than Egyptian side. The was also a notable usage of water cannons by Egypt to undermine the eastern side of the channel, and collapse it. I do not have the Suez map, so I can not really check if they modeled this into the map. 2
