mkel2010 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 I posted in the F-16 forum (link below) regarding a problem with DCS recognizing the AB detent on the Orion II throttle base with the F-16 grip. There are some images in the post that show the game seeing the throttle in the mid range position when it is physically in AB as shown in the thrust axis tune window. Moving off AB in axis tune allows axis tune to now detect the AB detent and moving past it axis tune maxes out. But in game the throttle doesn't move. Anyone with a similar set up notice this or have a solution?
mkel2010 Posted July 8, 2024 Author Posted July 8, 2024 I think I got the AB situation sorted out. I had to bind a button on the throttle to Cycle the AB detent and as soon as I did I was able to get past the AB detent and into AB. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to work though. I have read through the pinned post on calibrating the AB and will do that in SimApp Pro now.

For others that come upon this thread, it was later pointed out to the OP in the F-16 subforum that you just need to turn the "AB VIRTUAL DETENT" option (can't remember exact name) in the F-16 options menu to "ALWAYS OFF" (since you have a physical detent anyway) and you won't need to do this binding. 1
