Ladan Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Hello all, I've updated DCS World last night...well that is, it updated itself automatically as soon as I opened Steam. I loaded it up to find that I had to login twice, whereas before the update, I did only once. Then I loaded up my scenario with my AV-8B Harrier. I could not get the Harrier to move. The throttle did not work at all. I only could release parking brake. This was when I used my HOTAS Warthog throttle. So, I tried my Thrustmaster throttle. That one worked well. Why did this happen? Is there a bug? Also, the map seems very distorted, messed up. Is there no way to revert back to before the update?
sleighzy Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Issues with the map normally mean you’re running the ST version and not the multithreaded version (MT). Ensure that you chose the Play MT Preview option when launching the game in your Steam library. You should see the text MULTITHREADED PREVIEW at the bottom of the main menu when DCS has loaded. AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2

Reverting back the steam version is impossible because they forcing you to update and there is no way back. In standalone version you can choose if you want to update or not. You can also bind all the steam DLCs to your DCS account in order to move all your module's licenses to standalone. Pay attention that you will need to uninstall them in steam version in order to play in standalone, othervise you will have error. Here, this is a topic on how to revert to any DCS version, using standalone client:
