Where are my liveries?

hi,

i am new to the F4E.

i downloaded some liveries from the  dcs site.

i noticed that in the aircraft liveries directory, they were zipped. is this normal?

i put my donloaded files in the liveries directory of the f4e but i cant find my liveries when i want to fly them...

What am i doing wrong?
