Vee.A Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) I just got my new HOTAS and I have no issues with it except that when moving the stick in random directions at reasonably high speed it makes a creaking or clicking sound. It also seems like a spring or similar rubbing against its attachment. The movement itself feels completely fine. Is this normal or should I open it up? EDIT: I opened it and isolated it to the roll axis spring. Everything is fine mechanically, but the spring itself makes noise. If you put a little pressure on it with your finger it stops. I tried putting some grease on where it connects to the cams, but it's the same, though I did use silicon grease which isn't the best for that application. I also noticed that the roll axis centers every so slightly off center compared to the pitch axis even after calibration. Not sure if that's related Edited July 25, 2024 by Vee.A
