Reticuli Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Any suggestions? Can all the sound be loaded in ram or soundcard buffer before they are needed? I get little freezes like Longbow 2 did years ago. Possible to turn down explosions, smoke, or their persistence? By the way, I turned down water, and it doesn't seem to be a problem up at a higher setting. Leaving the animated waves -- at least at "1" -- is fine. EtherealN Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 There is a mod somewhere on lockonfiles.com that will remove some of the smoke - specifically the the flares. slug88 Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Setting the swap file size to 0 in Windows might help with the caching issues. I've been doing this on my 4gb W7 system from day one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
