Warbird Homemade Simpit

Hello folks!

Sharing with you one of my crazy ideas of building a WB simpit. Started with the goal of building something close to a P51 Mustang (which you may see some similarity), but ended up mixing with modernized P51 side panels and even some P47 parts (like the throttle mod).

Its not supposed to be a real copy of anything, just concepts and prototypes that I ended up pulling up together, but maintaining the WB look, at least for me.

Left panel is the most 'complete' one, with the Authentikit module, working on an arduino circuit, controlling flaps, trims and landing gear. 

On the bottom left, there are 3 switches I use to activate the bombs. On top, a module for radiator air and the Throttle with a P47 mod printed in 3d.



On the right, I have the 'modernized' panel, so I can assign more generic profiles for the other WBs. I also have external lights control and a radio module for MSFS, just in case.


Center I have the guns panel, also 3D printed, With a metal and wood structure (and parts of cardboard, while I'm prototyping to be replaced) and top left, the Gyro.

For the dashboard, I'm using Helios and the stick is a Winwing Orion2 , attached to a car seat (from a junkyard). I also use a 32 curved screen with head tracker, but the rest is all homemade (including the table and all supports). Its not fancy, but all you see works well, with basically no coding, all plug n play and no major issues.

Overall structure is made with wood and metal, and part of the panels, I manually did with acrylic, but planning to buy a 3d Printer and possibly a laser cut machine to make things looks better.

Appreciate any suggestion or idea, I'm always looking to try different things to improve the simpit and even not being a good pilot, I had a ton of fun building this.
