C180Pilot Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Hi, hope I am not to wrong here at this place with my observation... Creating a mission on the Kola Peninsula at the Bodø Airport, I noticed, that sometimes my MFD,s were dimmed and flickering and the HSI was not being displayed. (F16 setup with three Winwing MFD´s) Researching that phenomenon a bit, I figured out, that this depends on the month of the year and the time of the day. For example: in January that happens over the entire day! in July it happens from 0:00 to 5:00 o'clock, In August from 22:00 to 6:00 o'clock and in September from 20:00 to 8:00 o'clock! Don't know, if somebody else has the same problem or if there is already a fix for it? Thanks a lot! Georg This is the setup for September 11th , 19:00 Hrs and this for September 11th, 20:00 hrs 1 Asus ROG Strix Z790, i7/14700, 64GB, Samsung 2TB 990pro SSD, Nvidia RTX 4080, Dell 55” /4k Monitor
Braz90 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 (edited) Dear Georg, replying on my iPad, so need to make this short. I have the same setup (less the ICP), and the same issue since the latest update. L/R MFDs flicker a bit and are dimmer as displayed. The center display (EHSI) compass I was able to fix last night temporarily. You need to program the brightness detent button, then use that in conjunction with the CRS switch. Once completed, hold the detent button and CSR switch L/R, the display will brighten up or lower to your desire. Still need a fix on the 2 other displays. Hope this helps.
