Hootman9104 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Didn't see a great place to post this, but is it just me, or does it seem like the core/threads are more efficient now that multi-thread is standard? Noticed in Steam the MT start options are gone, and doing some testing prior to running a Liberation mission on my self-generated server, I had windows performance monitor and also MSI Afterburner running, and it appears that the cores/threads are being utilized more efficiently/evenly. As a side note, I have a 13900K and use my Gigabyte Bios to disable the E-Cores as that seems to work well in my situation. So just using the P-cores. Just seems like suddenly ALL the cores are picking up part of the load more evenly (other than the 2 cores that always remain pretty high). And even those 2 cores seem to be taking it easier now, and not maxxing out so much. Just wondering if anyone else has the same observation.
gasmate Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 The update before this latest one turned DCS into an unplayable stuttery mess for me. I'm not at all tech savvy and didn't really try to get to the bottom of it, just stopped playing. This latest update is running really well for me now, i've been able to bump up some of my settings and still get smooth gameplay in VR. 5800x3d, RX6800, 32gb DDR4 using Quest3
