linebacker Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Hi All I have been thinking about getting into flying DCS in VR, I've never tried VR so really I have no idea on what to expect. My gaming laptop is an Acer Nitro 5 which has an RTX 3060 chip in it. I hoping someone has tried this model laptop with the Meta Quest 3 headset. Does this laptop work well with the Meta Quest 3 headset? Anyone? As always, Thanks

But it will not give you a fair impression of what flight sim/DCS is in VR, and neither will it give you an impression of what the Quest 3 can do. Personally I would not bother with that laptop. Maddaawg Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 If this was a tower with that card and something along the lines of an Intel 10th gen or better or an AMD 5800x or better and 32GB you would be at about the minimal enjoyment level for some and not for others. But the laptop with a 3060 is going to be pretty difficult to recommend. But, the Q3 will work, just not in DCS so maybe something less demanding like WT or it will still be just fun standalone playing other games. I use pretty low settings, and you can see my specs in my signature. Meta Quest 3, Intel i9-10900K, EVGA 3080Ti FTW3, Corsair 64GB DDR4 3200, ASUS ROG Strix z-490-E Gaming, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M2 NVME Windows 11 Drive, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB M2 NVME Game Drive
