Attention, virtual pilots! The Air Combat Dojo team is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 DCS BFM Cup of Nations – and registration is now OPEN! For the first time in combat flight sim history, you can rally under your nation’s flag and take to the skies alongside fellow countrymen in a high-stakes battle for glory. Imagine the adrenaline of a World Cup, but with wings, missiles, and endless aerial showdowns. This is your chance to make history in the virtual skies – sign up now and be part of an international clash like no other!

FEATURES

  • Each nation will be represented by one team. The only criteria is to be a national (citizen) of the country you want to fight for.
  • Each team will have a Team Leader By default, the team leader will be the member holding the highest dojo rank in the team or members can vote to appoint a team leader, then inform an admin.
  • Live coaching!!: 1 team member from each team will be allowed to spectate live on the server and use in-game cameras to vocally assist teammates. Live coaching allows experienced BFM players to share their wisdom with fellow team members even if they are not actively flying!!

RULESET

  • Respective team leaders have to privately submit their choice of players via the /lineup command, then Skynet will then create the fixtures and announce the matches using this format:

Match 1: 1v1 guns only – Best of 5 rounds
Match 2: 2v2 guns only – Best of 5 rounds
Match 3: 1v1 guns + missiles (selection via **/payload**) – Best of 5 rounds
Match 4: 2v2 guns + missiles (selection via **/payload**) – Best of 5 rounds
Match 5: 1v1 guns only – Best of 5 rounds
A player can not be selected more than 2 times against the same team.

  • Once both team leaders have submitted their respective lineups, the bot will then create the assigned matches automatically up to Match 3 if either team has less than 4 players in the roster and up to Match 5 if both teams have at least 4 players in the roster.
  • Matches can be scheduled and reported separately via the /report command.
  • A minimum of 4 teams is required for this competition to use double elimination brackets. If less then 4 teams register, a pool will be used.
  • In the brackets system, first team to win 2 matches (if best of 3) or 3 matches (if best of 5) advances to next round.
  • in the pool system, teams will play each other twice (if both teams end up with same number of wins, number of matches won MINUS number of matches lost will be the tie-breaker).
