Skkuda Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Hi People! I was practicing some start/checks procedures when I noticed this..... When I flip down the fuel gauge switch, the fuel cuantity indicator needles doesn´t spin down (they continue showing total capacity) Even if I turn the batteries and electricity down, they still not spin down. So here is the question. Is a little minor bug? if not Is there an explanation? Can anyone confirm? People.....thanks for your time! ARM505 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I don't have the answer for the Ka50 specifically, but in some aircraft the gauges are only driven with power applied - this means that the needles will simply stay where they were last, until power is reapplied. So it could be correct.
ED Team USSR_Rik Posted May 31, 2009 ED Team Posted May 31, 2009 It's correct. You can observe this behavior in some cars. The needles don´t spinning down or the needles staying in full fuel capacity? Sorry for being quite dumb, but for example in my car when I twist the car Key to on, the fuel needle spins up, and when I twist the car key to off, the fuel needle spins down. EtherealN Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Scuda, the keyword is "some" cars, not all. My cars have all had the same behaviour as yours, but I never got around to getting that Volga (damn import restrictions... Them Volgas are just so damn pretty) I wanted so I don't know if it's a design difference between east and west. Rik, you know if that is the difference?
