darrentoogood991 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Hello All, Just getting back into DCS BS and i'm having a bit of a headache with one problem. Its the ATC. I have set up a mission with just myself sitting at Sochi Adler and have followed the startup procedure (switch on vhf2 etc) but when i request startup clearance i hear myself speaking but i dont get an answer. Same with takeoff clearance. I have the radio connected to ground crew ok and can connect external power. Just no reply on the ATC channel.I know i have to taxi to the runway to get takeoff clearance but when i request it i still get no reply. I expect its something im doing wrong. Dont remember having this problem before.
Elnocho3 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Its not much fun talking to yourself in the middle of an active runway, you'll probably get thrown in the looney bin. There are a couple of things to help alleviate this problem: 1) Make sure all the radio switches on the right wall panel are switched on including the intercom switch 2) Turn the intercom source selector dial on the SPU-9 radio intercom panel (located by your left knee, in front of the targeting mode control panel) to the furthest left position. Enjoy! PC spec: i9 9900KS @ 5.1ghz, 32GB RAM, 2 TB NVME M2, RTX 3090 Peripherals: TM Warthog, Saitek Pro Flight Pedals, Rift S, Custom UFC
slug88 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 2) Turn the intercom source selector dial on the SPU-9 radio intercom panel (located by your left knee, in front of the targeting mode control panel) to the furthest left position. Sounds like this will solve your problem. You've probably turned the switch to Ground Crew, when it should be on VHF-2. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
darrentoogood991 Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 Thanks for the advice guys but i have already tried the switches suggested. I will continue to investigate what i'm doing wrong.
EtherealN Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Track file would help - lets us see what's happening and then have a look around the cockpit to ensure that everything is the way it should be.
