Crash Crash Crash - Open XR Toolkit use and changes

Hi All,

2.9 has been running stable but a few changes now lead to a full crash with every run of DCS.

i5 9600 CPU and 3800 and G2

I was running Open XR toolkit (stable for ever) with upscaling in that tool "off" in then runtime , however I changed to NIS and then CAS upscaling when in game to see the effects and now I'm just getting endless crashes (full PC restart).

Even when I run Open XR Toolkit Companion and click the 'disable' button the crashed still occur.

Will a full uninstall of the Toolkit Companion remove/prevent the running of NIS/CAS?

Any advise most appreciated.

Repeat the crash and then attach your "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log" file (may just be a text document named "dcs") here. Don't restart after before retrieving the log file.

Check the docs for the OpenXR Toolkit as there is information there in running in a safe mode and reverting back to the default settings. https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/

You may need to completely uninstall it.

Because even disabling it in the companion app isn't working for you then you can also the https://github.com/fredemmott/OpenXR-API-Layers-GUI tool and untick the OpenXR Toolkit API layer in there. This should completely disable it so that it is not used when DCS starts whilst troubleshooting further, you can tick the box to enable it again.
