I'm on mission 5 and these guys haven't showed up in the last couple missions. I'm pretty sure they worked fine on mission 2 with the initial ferry mission to the ship. I've tried saluting and requesting launch and nothing happens. I thought it was a problem with an update but it works fine in normal missions and I even tried repairing/cleaning up my dcs install.

Hi,

Thank you for your report.

As mentioned in the change log it seems that the deck crew is not there at all when the mission is loaded from the intro. Cat crew is there but have you seen the taxi director in this campaign? They are in intro missions but I dont't think they work in the missions itself.

When loading the mission separately the crew works fine so it shouldn't be anything in mission settings. I have reported this to ED but at least for now haven't got any solution.

Until it's fixed you need to taxi old way. Ask the crew to remove chocks, taxi to the closest cat and so on.

Thanks for the reply. Other than this small issue (which seems like it's got nothing to do with the campaign anyways), this is one of the best DCS campaigns I've played both in terms of the missions actually working and good mission design. It seems like it might even come out on top of Paradise Lost. I really enjoy the cutscene intros and the story has been fantastic.

Spoiler

The part with the Russian Ka-50s at the insurgent camp was a wild ride.

Great job with this one!
