Thegino Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Hi everyone, I’m trying to find a way to export the MFDs and AMPCD of the F/A-18 in DCS World to local floating windows on my monitor, but I’m unsure where to start. The closest solution I’ve found so far is Iris Screen Exporter server+client (https://github.com/HeliosVirtualCockpit/Iris-Screen-Exporter?tab=readme-ov-file#the-irisclient), which allows the client to get multiple viewports as separate "kinda-floating" windows. However, it relies on a UDP connection, and also adds encoding and decoding overhead for streaming, which I’d like to avoid since I only need the output on the same PC and monitor I’m already using. I still haven't understood how to properly setup its configuration. Here’s my setup: - I’m using a single monitor alongside VR. - DCS is running in windowed mode (not fullscreen), so I have space around the edges of my monitor for arranging those extra views. - My goal is to display the MFDs/AMPCD as floating windows on the same monitor, without using external devices or streaming. - I'm not sure if i have to (and how) to first export MFDs and AMPCD via lua editing (helios isn't overkill? manual lua editing?). I’m wondering if this is even possible with such configuration, and if so, what tools or settings I should look into. Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
