Guest Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Would it be possible, for users to choose what they download and keep on their own PC? Apart from any files that are critical, there must be large amounts of data users can choose not to download. Like skins for example. Obviously, each aircraft would have to have one default skin, but you get the point. Anything that must be there, must be downloaded. But the textures are another huge and obvious one. For all users that only run DCS at medium or low settings, the requirement for them to download high def textures seems only to require that they spend their dollars on more HDD or SDD space. If they didn't have to, they could spend their cash on more modules from ED! The automated repair service I assume would need to be tweaked, to look at the users 'preferred download settings', to avoid downloading unwanted files. Might be an easy way to make a lot of users happier.
