If you are looking for a realistic Naval Aviation experience, look no further than the Virtual CVW-17. Being a Virtual Naval Aviator in CVW-17 means you know how to use your aircraft to its full potential; in VFA-34 and VFA-81, we train and follow realistic tactics and procedures, to get the most out of the versatile F/A-18C Hornet. We will actively teach you how to harness the precision and excellence of the Hornet in any environment and weather. You can learn to lead, from a section, all the way up to an entire Strike package, and come home with all objectives achieved and all planes accounted for. Training for LSO or FAC(A) roles is also available. We debrief our flights, and get better every time we fly. We have a dedicated workups schedule, starting with the Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) phase, where you will learn the basics of flying the Hornet and becoming a Wingman. Those are formation flying, Carrier Qualification, the basics of executing a strike, as well as BVR and BFM. After that, the squadrons will train more advanced tactics, before moving to the CVN-73 for the final phases of our workups, where the entire air wing will train together. Finally the air wing will deploy on its 2025 Cruise. If you enjoy Virtual Naval Aviation and are looking for an organized Air Wing to be a part of, then join us now. We fly realistically, whilst keeping a light-hearted attitude about it. We have a dedicated Student Naval Aviator syllabus. You wanna learn how to really fly the Hornet, and be part of a group of similarly minded DCS players? JOIN US NOW! We fly every Tuesday and Thursday at 20:30 CET.
