MickyG Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) Hi, As the title already says DCS keeps changing the resolution on every new start with winwing mfd's from 2560x1440 to 4096x1440. (in 2d and also in VR) I suppose this is caused because of the attached mfd's. Is there a way to avoid this? Now I have to change it back manually and restart which is very annoying. thanks in advance for any help with this issue. anyone having the same issue? rob10 Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Not sure what your actual issue is . Yes, it changes it to 4096 x 1440 because it now includes wherever the MFD's are displayed. They are displayed as part of the "main" screen and then exported onto the external MFD's, so it's completely normal for it to be 4096x1440 and shouldn't cause you any issues in game. Are your MFD's actually working if you change it back? As a sidenote, if it's going to 4096 you likely have the 3 MFD's side by side in your windows setting. You can stack them in whatever configuration results in the smallest total area displayed. At 4096 x 1440 you're pushing 5,898,240 pixels. This likely includes a bunch of black space which is still has to draw. If you can get it to for example 3340 x 1440 you're only drawing 4,809,600 pixels so less load on your computer. 1
MickyG Posted April 13 Author Posted April 13 Hi! thanks for your answer! Yes they work just fine after changing it back. that's the issue, they work fine at 2560. the reason I asked was my concern it would cost some performance and cause more load when set to 4096. BTW I don't exactly understand what you mean with the last part of your answer. Gigabyte Aorus Z790 Elite AX, I9 14900, Asus OC RTX 4090, 128GB DDR5
