DCS Germany RAM/FPS tested - is it time to upgrade your PC for DCS in 2025?

I ran a test in 4k on a 4090 of the awesome looking cold war germany map, it is PRETTY.

But it also needs a lot of ram, with detailed and large maps like this, it has to preload into RAM and VRAM to ensure you have as stutter free experience as possible.

With the load on the GPU, I would probably suggest for DCS in 2025 you need a 12-16GB VRAM GPU..


and 64 GB of Ram. I havent seen DCS load up almost 50 GB of Ram before. Impressive!

--- FPS is ok, 4K maxed out at graphics about 90 fps over very detailed Berlin, 
--- FPS can be gained back by lowering textures and removing shadows to 120-150 FPS in my tests.
