Mission 5 (border), cant report contacts

So my first 3 tries of this got a weird bug of being locked out of my keyboard/controls mid mission, but this may be a ME issue, as i think it happens when i return to normal speed (shift+Z), i may have buggy binding or something (reshade is on the same binding too)?

 

Anyhow, once i (finally) arrive on station, i first found a convoy with a bus, but initially there was no F10 option, took a good couple minutes before it came up, but eventually it showed under F10, and the dialouge with wingman works, but all other groups i came across there was no F10 option to report it (is there 2 groups of 2 cars? plus a single apc). i was flying around for ages, trying to lock them etc, but the mission couldnt progress, there wasnt an option to cancel the task either. I tried bombing the APC but this done nothing, an ended up quitting the mission

Are we meant to do show of force or something? also not too clear weather i should be reporting, via F10, to my flight freq or to image?

Any ideas as to what im doing wrong? or is this a bug in the mission?

I don't think you're dealing with a mission bug here. Your task is to scan the ROZ from WP5 all the way up to WP6, and back. You will of course pick up a lot of ground moving targets around the al-Walid border post - this is where all the legitimate civilian traffic is crossing the border. Your wingman is kinda telling you that. The APC patrolling the south side of the border  post is an Iraqi Army M113, which is a friendly.

So continue up to WP6 and scan for anything that might be trying to cross the Iraqi-Syrian border away from any checkpoints.

For inspiration, you can also search YouTube. There are some that have already made full recordings of them completing each mission. While their playthroughs may not be flawless, at least they'll give you an idea to where it is you got stuck.
