I recently had to downgrade my Varjo Base to 4.3, because newer versions have broken compatibility with OpenKneeboard. After doing that, I'm not getting the quad view (or the accompanying higher frame rates) with my headset. I've been using Quad-Views-Foveated for a few years now and with versions of Varjo Base older than 4.3. I tried removing QVF and reinstalling it, but that also did not help.

How can I figure out why it's not running?

While I don't have a workaround or solution, please let Varjo know the bug in v4.4 and above is important to you; despite it not being in their 'known issues' list, they've been aware of it since at least November. It also affects other world-locked OpenXR overlays.

I've been keeping track of the details over on https://github.com/OpenKneeboard/OpenKneeboard/issues/698 as Varjo do not appear to have a public bug tracker.

My projects:

OpenKneeboard - VR and non-VR kneeboard with optional support for drawing tablets; get help
HTCC - Quest hand tracking for DCS; get help

If you need help with these projects, please use their 'get help' links above; I'm not able to track support requests on these forums.

Have you tried adding the 2 registry keys descriped in this blog post?

https://varjo.com/vr-lab/make-the-best-out-of-your-varjo-experience-update-on-varjo-quad-view-eye-tracked-foveation-and-varjo-base-settings/

I have to do this every time after an upgrade of vario base. It should work for V 4.3 and above. You don't have to use any additional software. Check "use quad view" under VR settings in DCS and do NOT enable "use eye tracking" in DCS. But make sure that "allow eye tracking" is set to ON in varjo base under "support" --> Privacy.
