FlipVR (Lighthouse) controllers in DCS - help needed!

Hi guys. I have a set of FlipVR controllers and really like em. They work flawlessly under SteamVR.
Problem is i can not seem to get them to show up/work in DCS.
They would be perfect for DCS because of their "flip" capability. You can basically leave them on while flying HOTAS and simply flip them in when you want to handle cockpit functions.

Does anyone maybe have a clue what i am supposed to do to get them to work in DCS?

I can't be too much help because I have never tried to get X-Box type controllers to work, does windows see the device as a controller? I saw in the manual for the device some instructions for Windows.
