Flying boats ?

Hi

In Frankfurt, we can see cargos and container ships on the industrial harbour. But we can see plenty of little bridges across the river on upstream and  downstream from the harbour. Just a question: How did these boats for coming to the harbour ? Have they wings perhaps ? Are they modern copies of the flying dutshman ?
