ours Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Hello, During a three-player session on a dedicated server, everything was going well, but after more than an hour, we noticed: - Heratic jumps in the position of AI planes - Planes stationary in the air in the F2 external view - AI planes flying backward in mid-air, reverse scrolling of the image, forward drag flow, etc. - Players could no longer see each other on the F10 map In short, a situation that had become unplayable, even if each player could continue flying individually. In the end, the server refused to stop despite a long wait, so I had to kill it via the task manager. I'm attaching the usual files from the server and the Tacview file. We've already encountered some of these problems in previous missions on previous versions of the server. The backward flight (F2 view) of planes is a new feature! The server was not saturated in terms of: CPU load memory or network throughput dcs.log server-20250608-201138.trk Tacview-20250608-202502-DCS-Host-1980-2000_ColdWar_decouverte_GW_V2.04_with_stopGap.zip.acmi
-Cipher- Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago this behavior usually happens when the server hangs or gets stuck in a loop. there is something wrong with either your mission or your server constantly stuttering or getting stuck in a hanging situation. -go read / check server logs -check server task manager performance if your server had low specs or shortcomings. try turning track record off, tacview record off. make sure the scripts you use is up to date. make sure the mission you play is optimized. please post the mission file and your server spec as well CPU :Intel® Core i5-13600KF | GPU :ASUS RTX 4070 Super OC |RAM : Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32 GB | SSD 500GB & 1TB Samsung | Flight gear : T.16000 FCS Flight Pack | MB : ASUS Z790P Wish-list : F-117 Nighthawk | F-14D Super Tomcat | F-111 Aardvark | P-38M Lightning
ours Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Additional Information The task manager shows no server saturation : Core i7 750 4 cores + 4 HT 3.3 GHz load < 70% 48 GB RAM, 29 GB used during the mission 1 TB SSD Internal wired network 1 Gbps (1 client and server) External uplink 400 Mbps (2 clients) I am attaching the Tacview file of the mission with a client perspective. ours Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago As a supplement, I am attaching the mission that caused the problems on the dedicated server. 1980-2000_ColdWar_decouverte_GW_V2.04_with_stopGap.miz
ours Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Also in addition to the bugs described, another TACVIEW file of the mission from a local client perspective (local network between client and server, 1 Gbits/s wired). The previous TACVIEW client was based on the external uplink of 400 Mbps (fiber). Tacview-20250608-204532-DCS-Client-1980-2000_ColdWar_decouverte_GW_V2.04_with_stopGap.zip.acmi
-Cipher- Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago are you having problems with every mission you run ? or specifically on this one ? CPU :Intel® Core i5-13600KF | GPU :ASUS RTX 4070 Super OC |RAM : Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32 GB | SSD 500GB & 1TB Samsung | Flight gear : T.16000 FCS Flight Pack | MB : ASUS Z790P Wish-list : F-117 Nighthawk | F-14D Super Tomcat | F-111 Aardvark | P-38M Lightning
ours Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Hello, This has been a fairly recurring problem for several months, despite various server updates. In practice, the same mission causes problems after a certain amount of time has passed on the dedicated server, while the same mission launched from a non-dedicated server causes no problems at all! In both cases, the same MODS are installed and TACVIEW is active. The usual symptoms are random jumps in the position of AI aircraft (see the client's TACVIEW files near the end of the recording), AI aircraft stationary in the sky, Clients disappearing from the F10 map, but now there have also been reversals in mid-air!!!
