BammBamm Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Has anyone else experienced the springs from the WinWing CAM/Spring/Damping Extension Kit breaking? WINWING Orion 2 Joystick CAM/Spring/Damping Extension Kit-Offical Store for WINWING I had one snap while just using the joystick normally. WinWing keeps telling me to go and buy the whole kit all over again for one broken spring. Why is it always pulling teeth when trying to talk to and work with WinWing support? (Rhetorical question).
StarVenger Posted June 29 Posted June 29 (edited) Good day BammBamm, That's right, their springs are not just of good quality. I've had to replace mine (the heaviest springs) 2x in a year of owning Orion 2). Tried to tell them that 1 loop only at both the ends of the spring is not enough. tried to tell them to sell to me springs only and not the whole set of dampers and springs but they were unable to do (1st time they sent me free of charge). What I did was buy a similarly sized spring but 2loops at the ends of the spring. I bought the WD = 1.2mm, L=30.0mm, OD=9.0mm springs as replacements similar to the attached. I don't know if you are also using the Orion 2 Throttle finger lift springs (as they break quite often as well) but i replaced them with WD = 0.5mm, L=15mm, OD=0.5mm (their OEM springs sized 0.2mm, L=15mm, OD=0.5mm are just too brittle). Hope these will help you, ~S Edited June 29 by StarVenger MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WIFI II + MSI RTX4090 Gaming X Trio 24G OC + Intel I9-14900K + 64GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance + Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle + Virpil Constellation ALPHA (R) + VKB Gunfighter Mk.III MCE Ultimate + Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog + WinWing Orion 2 F-16EX Viper Joystick + WinWing Orion 2 Throttle and F/A-18 Hornet Grip with Finger Lifts + WinWing Orion 2 Throttle and F-15EX Grip with Finger Lifts + WinWing Orion Metal Flight Rudder Pedals + MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals + Pico 4 + HP Reverb G2 + Track IR5 + Tobii Eye Tracker 5 + ASUS PG38UQ Monitor + LG 34GN850-B Monitor
