Smokin1469 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I've noticed the last couple times I've flown the DC BUS caution light asserts about the time the right engine reaches idle on start. It persists throughout the flight with no apparent adverse effects. I always use the auto start feature. Is this a bug or is there something in the auto start sequence that's causing it?

Or you interfering with the sequence in some way.Could you throw a quick track file at us, would be very helpful, thanks :)
Smokin1469 Posted June 23 Author Posted June 23 (edited) I'll try to attach a trk file. In the meantime, during the auto start sequence, the DC BUS caution light comes on when the right engine reaches idle and the generator comes online. It stays on through left engine start and does not go out when the auto start sequence is complete. Cycling the right and left generators simultaneously per the -1 checklist for DC BUS caution light extinguishes the light. Edited June 23 by Smokin1469 Edited for clarity
Zev Posted Wednesday at 07:59 AM Posted Wednesday at 07:59 AM (edited) I’m seeing exactly the same behavior you described. During the start sequence, the DC BUS caution light comes on when the right engine reaches idle and its generator comes online. It stays illuminated through the left engine start and doesn’t go out once the sequence is complete. Just like you mentioned, cycling both generators simultaneously (as per the -1 checklist) does clear the light, but I’m not sure why it’s happening in the first place — especially since everything else seems to be working normally. Did you ever find out what was causing this, or if it’s something that needs to be done manually every time? I’m wondering if this is just a quirk of the current module or if we’re missing a step in the startup flow. Thanks in advance for any insight! Edited Wednesday at 07:59 AM by Zev
Smokin1469 Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago For whatever reason it stopped coming on after a while. Can't explain it, I haven't changed anything. I just always use the default autostart option with no changes other than setting up comm, weapons, etc. I just did an auto start in the Gulf Guardians campaign and no DC BUS caution light.
Zabuzard Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago If it hapoens again, now you have the EFB Electrics page to give some insights :) 1
