evangelic Posted June 22 Posted June 22 (edited) Hello! I’m midway through my first comprehensive campaign and invite you to help me test and improve it as I build. The campaign gives you RPG-like choices as you play which dictate which missions you can skip, giving you different playing experiences. The Campaign Background With little diplomatic or military options to resist Israeli aggression, Iran is desperate to coerce the international community to broker peace on its behalf. To do this, it has been targeting oil and commercial interests in the Strait of Hormuz in an attempt to drive up international oil prices. A small US-led, multinational task force “Taskforce Sentinel” whose mission is to keep the shipping lanes of the Strait open, suddenly finds itself on the front line of an international crisis. The Mission In mission 1 you’ll come to the aid of an oil tanker - The Blue Orion - as it evades an Iranian attempt to capture it. You’ll perform a show of force, which will fail, and will be given the choice of starting hostilities or allowing the tanker to be taken. If the tanker is taken, your second mission is a daring raid to recapture it and its crew. If you open fire, however, it’ll ignite a local conflict. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3344794/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345411/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345412/ Edited June 22 by evangelic
Exorcet Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Is there any reason why you're uploading these as separate missions and not as a campaign? Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
evangelic Posted June 22 Author Posted June 22 Makes it more likely people find bugs before I put them together in campaign builder. There’ll be single player soloists who search for single missions but not necessarily search for a campaign
evangelic Posted June 22 Author Posted June 22 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345411/ - I plan to make this unskippable if you failed to protect the Blue Orion. Now anchored in the port of Bandar Abbas, the US-led task force leads an audacious mission to free its captured crew while simultaneously striking at naval positions. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345412/ - with its naval capabilities all but destroyed, Iran resorts to missile strikes on commercial and oil interests in the region - still desperate to force the international community to broker peace on its behalf. You’ll lead a strike against one of its missile sites, and be faced with a decision mid-way through: manage fuel or protect your wingman
_Hoss Posted June 22 Posted June 22 The USN operates in the Gulf off the coast of Oman or GONZO Station. Gulf of Oman Naval Zone of Operation. I spent a lot of time there between 1979 - 1988 doing circles, on the Connie 80 & 82, and the Enterprise, with VA-94 on 86 & 88, WESTPACS. We we're transiting the Straights Of Malacca on the Connie to releave the Nimitz when they attempted the rescue of the hostages. Fun times... 1 Sempre Fortis
