What's the best way to see the current DCS frame rate in VR using openXR in a pimax hmd?

Right CTRL + Pause Break in DCS will show the DCS Frames counter. (Pressed multiple times to cycle through basic/detail info, and to turn off).

Or alternatively - you can install OpenXR Tooklit. It has an option to show FPS as well.

The DCS FPS is the easiest because it doesn't require any 3rd party installs, etc - however will show on the mirror screen. The OpenXR Toolkit on the other hand requires you to install it, and then configure it - but it only shows in VR. (So it can be handy if you're streaming, etc and don't want to see the counter).

Thanks, I was hoping there was another solution for seeing frame rate in the HMD itself since it had been a while since I had tried to do that, guess not:(

Sorry - not sure what you mean. Both of these should show you the frame in the HMD itself. OpenXR Toolkit will only show you frames in the HMD, whereas the DCS one shows both in and outside.

If you're not seeing the DCS one in your HMD - maybe open up in 2D, get it - then move it to the centre of the screen, close DCS and open up in VR. It's possible that it may be outside the rendering bounds on your HMD.

You are correct!  Just discovered that. Is there a post somewhere that describes what all the fields mean in the extended view?
